Bupa Australia pledges $100,000 and establishes a Bushfire Relief Fund to help ease pain and suffering
Bupa Australia has announced it will provide a $100,000 cash donation to the Red Cross bushfires appeal, as well as matching employee donations and initiating a relief fund, in support of the many thousands of Australians who have been affected by the Victorian bushfires.
Bupa has also made a commitment to all HBA, MBF and Mutual Community customers affected by the fires that it will process their claims as expediently as possible.
Bupa's managing director, Richard Bowden, said he would like to express his sincere sympathy on behalf of all employees to those who had lost their loved ones, their homes, and their livelihoods.

Advice to help you cope with stress and grief
"The best thing you can do to support a loved one or colleague through a disaster such as the Victorian bush fire crisis is to be there for them. If they want to talk, let them talk. If they want to be silent, let them be silent. A GP, psychologist or counsellor can also help." Dr Christine Bennett, Bupa Australia's Chief Medical Officer.
