Natural therapies include acupuncture, Alexander Technique, Chinese herbalism, exercise physiology, Feldenkrais, homoeopathy, iridology, naturopathy and Western herbalism. Massage includes aromatherapy, Bowen Technique, kinesiology, reflexology, shiatsu and therapeutic massage. Pharmacy includes benefits for items that are S4 or S8 scripts, TGA approved and not covered by the Government Pharmaceutical Benefits Scheme (PBS). You pay an amount equal to the maximum patient contribution set by the Government under the PBS. We cover 60% of the balance. Health appliances include a range of items that people may use to assist them with daily living activities including asthma pumps, blood glucose monitors, surgical stockings, CPAP/BPAP devices, hearing aids and defined appliances. Defined appliances include insoles, orthopaedic and corrective footwear, wigs, pressure garments, braces and artificial limbs. Limits apply per item. CPAP devices subject to eligibility. No benefits are payable on hearing aids when subsidised elsewhere. Home nursing has a sublimit of $350 and the hire, repair and maintenance of health aids and appliances has a sublimit of $100.
