Important message for members who held a policy with us prior to 1 July 2010
We wish to advise of a change to the registered private health insurer that issues your private health insurance policy. Your current policy was issued to you by Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd which trades under the brand names HBA, Mutual Community and ANZ Health Insurance. Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd forms part of the Bupa Australia Group which looks after the health cover needs of more than three million Australians.
We have recently merged the health fund operated by Bupa Australia Health Pty Ltd into a health fund operated by another company in the Bupa Australia Group, Bupa Australia Pty Ltd. As a result of the merger, your private health insurance policy is now issued by Bupa Australia Pty Ltd. Our health insurance will continue to be provided under the brand names HBA, Mutual Community and ANZ Health Insurance.
Please be assured this represents only a change of registered insurer and does not change any of your benefit entitlements. The Private Health Insurance Administration Council (PHIAC) has overseen this change.
We are required by legislation to advise you of this health fund merger. There is nothing further you need to do.
